Outpatient therapy and counseling services are provided to individuals (adolescents and adults), couples, and groups who are experiencing a range of social/emotional stresses due to troubled personal or family experiences, depression, anxiety, acting -out behaviors, bereavement, trauma, addiction, or low self-esteem, and under/unemployment. Home visits can also be arranged.
SBH is now offering a therapy program they coined as “therapize.” Clients can now participate in exercise during their counseling session. The therapist will conduct traditional talk therapy while engaging in exercise with the client, such as an elliptical machine or treadmill. Data suggests that physical exercise should be a part of everyone's lives. However, for people who have significant symptoms of depression and other mental health issues, physical exercise can reduce symptomatology by almost 50 percent.
